The microwave transmission equipment market revenue will reach $18 billion in the next five years

The latest forecast report from market research firm Dell‘Oro Group shows that the demand for microwave transmission equipment will increase in the next few years due to the deployment of future 5G networks. This growth will be driven by the new 5G market, which relies more on wireless backhaul. Other highlights of this five-year forecast for microwave transmission and mobile echo include: 

Revenue from microwave transmission equipment is expected to approach $18 billion over the cumulative period from 2022 to 2026; 

Approximately 70% of the microwave transmission market revenue will be driven by mobile backhaul. The rest will come from sales to vertical markets such as businesses and governments; 

The fastest growing technology area in five years will be the E-band. The E/V band market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 25%.
